Originally from Veyrins (38 region of france), graduated from a CAP (Certificate of professional aptitude) in general mechanical engineering, he first applied to the company Berliez but his application was not accepted because during the job interview he admitted that his ambition was to one day become self-employed !
Finally, it was in Oyonnax that he settled in the early 1950s to satisfy his taste for learning mechanical engineering.
It was with a mold making company that he was hired as « Arpette" ( young aprentice) that is to say, to be the small hand of the company. His role, among other things in winter was to heat the workshop in the morning before the staff arrived.
Later, he fully claimed this status and had fun printing on his business cards, "Arpette graduate"!
His curiosity, his pugnacity, and his thirst for learning made him evolve very quickly until he became general manager of an SME in the valley.
In 1968, assisted by his wife Paulette, they installed the first injection molding machines in the basement of the house.
This is the birth of MIHB!
A man of conviction, a lover of technique, he very quickly guided the company in the manufacture of technical and precision parts. He contributed to the development and manufacture of ski bindings, « bi-material » telephone keys, but also to many differing plastic parts for example precision gear wheels which, for that time were feats of innovation and technology!
Having started the entrepreneurial adventure penniless, Paulette and Marcel managed the company with a constant concern for technological performance, associated with the profitability necessary to grow and ensure the sustainability of MIHB and their employees! On January 1st, at the age of 92, Mr. Marcel Jullien passed away to join Paulette.
